Freight Train’s debut album, Burnin’ Down The Station
will be a welcome reminder of what balls-out blues-based
hard rock is supposed to be. Burnin’ Down The Station
is the return of everything that’s been missing from the
hard rock genre for a long, long time. Freight Train
is the shining embodiment of what a power trio is.

In-the-pocket sledgehammer drumming, thunderous
dynamic bass, blistering guitar riffs, and raw, heartfelt
vocals. Recorded at Trakworx Studios and produced by
Justin Weis and Freight Train. These guys grew up
listening to old school hard rock albums from the 60’s,
70’s and 80’s and decided that to capture the warmth
and awesome live tones Freight Train shows are known
for, they’d have to record the old school way: using
2-inch analog tape and playing live in the room together
as a band, no samples, click tracks or vocal tuning.

What you get is an instant classic. With 11 original songs
and 2 cover songs, Burnin’ Down The Station is an album
that will always be on your desert island list!.

Freight Train – Chronological Biography

The Freight Train story began in February 2004 with the original lineup being
Dirty Al Duncan on guitar / lead vocals, Paul Farragher on bass / vocals and
drummer Sam Adato, with all 3 members coming out of the failed project Helldorado.
Dirty Al and Paul had been playing together in various bands since 2001. May 2004
saw Freight Train's first effort, a 5 song EP entitled “Fire It Up And Crank It”
which received positive reviews. The band worked hard and played hard opening
for the likes of George Lynch and UFO, until September 2005.

Moving ahead, Freight Train spent the next 3 years searching for a suitable
drummer for the band. Finally, in May of 2009, Kevin Cunningham was added
to the lineup. The three of them hit it off immediately. There was an obvious
chemistry the three of them had together. Freight Train is a true power trio!
Freight Train’s already solid songs just needed a little polishing and to be
performed in front of a live crowd in preparation for the recording of
their 13 song debut album “Burnin’ Down The Station”, which Freight Train
are proud to announce is now completed.

Freight Train will be playing out in support of the album.
So don’t miss your chance to see Freight Train live and get rocked to the bone!
And don’t forget to grab a copy of the album so you can continue to
ride the rails with Freight Train!

~ April 2012 ~

Freight Train has parted ways with Kevin Cunningham after
2 1/2 years and would like to announce that the split was amicable.
Freight Train would like to thank Kevin for his tenure in the band.

Lou Caldarazzo has taken over drumming for Freight Train.
